In addition to my work as a designer, I spent a few years teaching courses at BrainStation, a leading digital skills company. Guiding students through design courses has not only been fulfilling but has also enriched my perspective and growth as a designer.
Worked as a graphic designer for 5 years in the early 2000s
Before product design, there were flyers, lots and lots of flyers
Who knew that designing flyers for underground punk and hardcore shows in Brooklyn would eventually lead to a career in product design? I started by creating artwork for local venues and music spaces, which led to an internship designing for NYC nightlife in the Meatpacking District.
From flyers and logos to brochures and websites, those early years taught me how to communicate ideas visually, capture attention, and design for a specific audience. Today, I still bring that same creative energy into my illustrations and gig posters.
I still love designing posters and practice as a hobby, here are some I worked on recently.
A better mouse trap
Sometimes our ideas have a mind of their own, and that’s where things get interesting
When I joined a new team in 2018, I wanted to introduce myself in a way that felt a little different. So I created a short stop-motion story about my runaway computer mouse and the process of designing a way to catch it.
